On November 22nd, the 30MW energy storage auxiliary FM project of China Resources Power Shenzhen-Shantou Company was officially connected to the grid and put into operation. The project is jointly promoted by Wike Technology Co., Ltd. and China Resources Power Shenzhen-Shantou Company and is located in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, Shenzhen-Shantou Special Co-operation Zone.

The project was invested, constructed and operated by WKT, which completed the construction of the 30MWh energy storage auxiliary FM system in 3 months and successfully connected the system to the power plant grid to carry out AGC FM business with the thermal power units, which significantly improved the AGC regulation performance of the power plant units and ensured the stability of the power grid and the FM response speed.
The project adopts the advanced electrochemical energy storage core independently developed by WKT, equipped with submerged liquid-cooled energy storage technology, which effectively extends the service life of the battery, and overall improves the stability performance of the power plant, with strong security. On the premise of not affecting the safe operation of the power plant system, combined with relevant policies and the technical advantages of electrochemical energy storage, the project can provide thermal power plants with FM capacity and obtain FM compensation.


The successful grid connection of the project signifies that WKT's leading technology and solutions in the field of power energy storage have been highly recognized by the industry, and it is also of great significance to the construction of a strong smart grid and the improvement of the grid's acceptance of renewable energy.
